About Potho

For years, I managed my finances through a spreadsheet I built myself. It worked, but each time I sat down to update it, I was looking at hours of copy-pasting, formula-checking, and tab-switching just to get a picture of where I stood. All that just to barely answer the question I actually cared about: where is my life going?

Then a friend said almost the exact same thing to me. She wasn't using my spreadsheet, but she built her own system and workarounds. And she felt the same way: aware enough to care but exhausted by the effort it took just to stay informed.

That conversation stuck with me. If two people who cared enough to build their own systems still felt lost, the problem wasn't discipline. It was the tools.

That's what I set out to build.

Potho is named after my favorite plant, the pothos, known for being steady, resilient, and low maintenance. You don’t need to tend to it every day, you just need to not give up on it. That's the feeling I wanted to capture: simplicity with the quiet confidence that comes from knowing you're moving in the right direction.

At its core, Potho is a calm financial control center that adapts to your goals, your pace, and your version of financial independence.
